1. Admission Requirements

Admission to the 2-year D.El.Ed. program is conducted strictly as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of West Bengal under the supervision of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE). The examination and selection process are regulated by the board to ensure transparency and fairness.

2. General Code of Conduct

  • Disciplinary Expectations: Students are expected to maintain discipline and decorum on campus at all times. This includes punctual attendance in classes, seminars, and extracurricular activities; respectful behavior towards faculty, staff, and peers; and adherence to institutional rules and regulations.
  • Identification Policy: All students must carry their valid, institute-issued ID card within the campus and present it upon request by authorities.
  • Attendance Protocol: Attendance is compulsory as per the prescribed policy for both B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programs. Unjustified absences may lead to academic penalties and affect eligibility for examinations.

3. Academic Compliance and Examinations

  • Affiliation & Recognition: The institution is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (N.C.T.E.), ensuring adherence to national and state academic standards.
  • Syllabus and Examinations: Students must strictly follow the prescribed syllabus for their respective programs. Examination schedules, formats, and evaluation procedures are conducted under the authority of the University of Burdwan and WBBPE.
  • Academic Calendar: Students will be notified about lectures, examinations, holidays, and academic events in accordance with the official academic calendar issued by the institution.

4. Fee Payments & Refund Policy

  • Mode of Payment: All fees must be paid through the institution’s designated bank account or approved online payment systems only.
  • Refund Guidelines: Fees once paid are generally non-refundable. Exceptions, if any, will be clearly mentioned during the admission process and communicated to the students in writing.

5. Discipline & Safety

  • Academic Integrity: Any form of malpractice—including cheating during examinations, plagiarism, or misconduct—will result in disciplinary action as per institutional norms.
  • Campus Safety: The use of mobile phones or gadgets during academic sessions is prohibited. Entry into restricted areas is not allowed. Surveillance measures are implemented in specific areas to ensure safety and discipline within the campus.

6. Grievance Redressal

  • Reporting Procedure: Students facing academic, administrative, or personal concerns are encouraged to report them either directly to the concerned faculty or by submitting a written grievance to the administration.
  • Resolution Mechanism: The institution ensures that all grievances are addressed promptly, fairly, and transparently within a reasonable timeframe.
